Step one: Windows 2000

 

1. Click Start, click on Settings and then click on Control Panel...

2. Double-click Internet Options...

3.Click on the Connections tab and click Add...

4. Click Next...

5. Put a dot next to Dial-up to the Internet and click Next...

6. Put a dot next to I want to set up my connection manually and click Next...

7. Put a dot next to I connect through a phone line and a modem and click Next...

8. This should have your modem listed, go ahead and simply click Next...

9. Type nothing in the Area code box and type your local access number in the Telephone number box and make sure that their is not a checkmark next to Use area code and dialing properties. Then click Next...

10. Type username@southslope.net in the User name box and enter your password in the Password box. Click Next...

11. Type in South Slope Telephone in the Connection name box and click Next...

12. Put a dot next to No and click Next...

13. Leave a check mark in To connect to the Internet immediately...and click Finish.
